On July 3, 2024, Giant Barb Environment & Science Joint Stock Company (Giant Barb) and the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) officially signed a cooperation agreement for two key green energy projects. The signing ceremony was held with representatives from Giant Barb and the Korea Testing & Research Institute to sign a cooperation agreement for two projects “Energy Efficiency Improvement Project for Energy Consumption Water Supply Facilities of Danang City, Vietnam” and “10MW Renewable Energy rooftop PV solar and EV charging station Project in Industry Park of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam”.
Energy Efficiency Improvement Project for Energy Consumption Water Supply Facilities of Danang City, Vietnam: This project aims to apply advanced technological solutions to optimize the energy use system at water supply facilities in Da Nang, contributing to reducing energy consumption, saving operating costs, and protecting the environment.
10MW Renewable Energy rooftop PV solar and EV charging station Project in Industry Park of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: This project aims to build a 10MW solar charging station in Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Park, providing renewable energy for electric vehicles to operate. The project contributes to promoting the use of green vehicles, reducing emissions and environmental pollution.
Mr. Le Anh Hoang, a representative of Giant Barb, said: "We are very pleased to cooperate with KTR with the support of the two governments. Following the 'Landfill Gas (LFG) Recovery Project in Hue City', we believe that KTR will be a reliable partner and accompany Giant Barb throughout its future development journey." In this cooperation, Giant Barb and KTR will jointly assess and ensure the conditions for project construction, work with the governments of each side, and provide support and focus on coordination throughout the implementation process.
